Apollo track you like best?

EquipmentNext to the synthesizers there is a lot of other equipment in my studio. Some of it is necessary for recording the audio from the synthesizers. But there there are also Sound FX processors to alter the sound of the synthesizers, like reverbs, delays, chorus, flangers, phasers etc. These Sound FX processors really make the ambiance in my music. The last years I especially invested in high end reverbs for example and you can really hear the difference. Next to that there is also equipment for listening to the audio and of course some PC's for recording and processing the audio. To be able to create a good mix I use several speaker setups and switch between them during mixing. Since they are all different a mix should sound good on all of them. And when it does usually it sounds good anywhere.

ControllerWhen I build my Apollo studio there was one design choice that I made right away. I didn't want any mixer any more in the studio. So I decided that I wanted to do all the mixing in the PC. For this I needed a lot inputs and outputs. There are also several controllers that I use because I did miss the sliders during mixing. Working in a PC is great but still there are things that you rather not do with a mouse or keyboard. In this section of the website I'll try to explain what other equipment there is in the studio next to the instruments. I will talk here about the equipment that is there in the sub-items in the menu on the left.

Under every sub-item is also a complete list of all the equipment. Here and there I also wrote a little review. I'll try to write more of those in the future. If you are interested in a certain item, just send me an E-mail and I might put it up earlier.

If you want to read how it all the equipment is interconnected and how it all works you can also dig even deeper and read the 'Background' section of this website.
